This post speaks to me! Humbling but helpful to remember the plates won’t stop.

Definitely needed to read this today. It's a good reminder that I can't always keep all the plates spinning and sometimes I have to make a conscious decision about which one I can let crash...because if I don't, then they all crash in the fruitless effort. Appreciate you and this email!

So glad you appreciated it, Emily! I always feel bad when I let something drop, but oddly I feel slightly more competent in my abilities as an adult human if I can plan for a sacrificial plate. 😂

Mary Joan! This one was perfectly timed as I just squeezed in a thorough sweep of the upstairs and the stairs, right after my 10 mos old grandson left. As those plates spun, I wrote a note to my stepson in Portland, while allowing soup to simmer for our granddaughter who is with us this afternoon. Across the room is the book I intended to start today, calling, "So I'm the plate you let drop today? Better get me spinning tomorrow!" - Thanks for your brilliant entry!
