ah it was so nice to see your face and to have you verbally walk through what really is a cool depiction of something we all experience, and the shift that happens when you choose confidence in something that you feel conflicted about. My brain likes to point out all the times I didn't do something I thought maybe I could do and tries to protect me from humiliation. Like air hockey. I always talk a big game in being able to win air hockey, despite playing maybe 10 times in my life :-)

💯! I think I your air hockey example describes my confidence level in most things lol. CONFIDENCE! (With little to back it up) Case in point- the “worm” dance move. There is no way I have the strength to move my whole body prostrate on the dance floor without arms. And yet…TWICE I have thrown myself onto a dance floor (thankfully at a home and carpeted) in an attempt that made much more sense in my head. CONFIDENCE! (With little to back it up 😂)

In the case of not having the newsletter ready when I hoped I would, a reader here suggested sending something out even if the big newsletter isn’t ready, which got me thinking. And now as Substack is rolling out video, it feels right to do it as a check in. This helps me overcome my perfectionist tendencies that keep me from opening the conversation wider. It’s Resilience in real time; getting me over my fear of not being the perfect newsletter writer with a perfect schedule. 🙈
